Description of the Program

The purpose of the Beat Knocks Academy is to give students an overview of music production, music engineering and songwriting basics.

In music production, students will learn how to create a song from start to finish. In music engineering, students will learn how to take an existing song and edit, mix, record, and sample.

At the end of this one week program, students will have a better concept of song structure and the elements of being a music producer, as well as have a finished project.

 Camp Beat Knocks was previously held @SAE Atlanta.

 Chris "Alpha Knocks" Woods is a Grammy Associated recording & mixing engineer and music producer. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Audio Production from the Art Institute of Atlanta with over 20 years’ experience in the audio production industry.

​He specializes in Live Sound Recording for national recording artists and music business. He owns an indie record label dedicated to breaking new artist and an audio production company specializing in providing high quality audio equipment and other media services for events and venues.
