Students will receive a chance to perform LIVE in front of friends and family for the annual Spring Show! Plus, there will be competitions throughout the school year for talented students to compete against other sites and win cool prizes and CASH!
Artportunity Knocks has partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta to bring you the Hip-Hop Extreme program! This program is exclusive to the Boys and Girls club during the school year and will give your child industry experience in the songwriting process, beat-making process, and recording/engineering a song! To register for this program, students must be an active member of the Boys and Girls Club (annual dues $35) and pay for the program fee which is $60 for and 8 week course. Artportunity Knocks was founded by Chris and Ty Woods in their guest room with two students with an interset in music. Have been educating and mentoring youth all across America for over 15 years they set out to form Artportunity Knocks with the two thing they have always been good at, mentorship and performing arts. Through their love for music, they have drawn many teens, inspiring them to write, produce, sing, and record their own musical creations. Hosting music sessions using their own resources, time, money, food and energy.
Incorporated in 2007, Artportunity Knocks took their relationship with the community and combined it with their relationship with the arts to form one of Georgia's premier School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program. Not only do student receive homework assistance and tutoring, but they also receive state-of-the-art training in what is known today as Musik Live and Hip-Hop Extreme. Artportunity Knocks became the catalyst for change in their communities. Through the arts, they inspired, motivated, and exchange information that sparked hope in these underserved youth. It is their passion and their heart is to give the youth an opportunity of a lifetime! They believe they have created a unique approach (niche) to reaching this generation: loving mentorship, positive arts self-expression, and most of all ART OPPORTUNITIES!
Some of the youth are former gang members, ex-drug dealers, youth with behavioral challenges, and 95% come from a single-parent homes. That is why the world classifies them as high risk, but we believe every child is high risk when they are not dispensed HOPE and LOVE! But YOU can help.
Today, Artportunity Knocks has leveraged partnerships and alliances to serve thousands of youth! Each program is geared toward creating a new generation of educated musicians and performing artists who will go out into the world and dispense hope and love to others through the arts.

This program give students all across the country an Artportunity to write and record songs live in a studio with today's hottest producers! They learn Rap/R&B delivery and songwriting, music production/beat-making, hip hop dance styles, and music business. At the end of the experience, students would have completed a demo CD and music video and showcase their talent to family and friends. To register for Hip Hop Extreme Click HERE . Students must adhere to the code of ethics concerning lyrics: No cursing, No degrading lyrics, No promoting drugs, sex or alcohol.
Life Musik - a program created to take positive music/performing arts to the US military bases throughout the country. This program will not only give recording artist and students the opportunity to serve our military and their families by providing positive entertainment for the entire family, but it will also serve as an Artportunity to perform LIVE in front of an audience. Inspired by the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus and the desire to take positive music to every urban school in America, this bus was custom designed with a recording studio, video recording booth and more! The bus will travel to schools, and communities throughout the country giving students an Artportunity to create, record and perform their own song LIVE from the tour bus!

What is PROJECT 600?
We are raising $50,000 in order to upgrade our building to a state of the art community center. We are building a brand new recording studio and adding an accessible ramp so that we can accomodate everyone. We need the help of our supporters, families and friends of Artportunity Knocks.
